JANUARY 2025
The year began with the exciting news that my application to join the CAA was accepted! (Founded in 1897, today the CAA is a thriving private members’ club for entertainment professionals.) And we had an excellent Page to Stage event, with a great turn-out and lively discussion.
FEBRUARY 2025
Thrilled to play Barbara Cartland (in her 40s!) in new play Put Your Dukes Up by Richard Fitchett, performed as part of the FreshFest platform for new writing at The Old Red Lion. It was great fun, with the main premise being Barbara Cartland sparring with Georgette Heyer – lashings of RP!
MARCH 2025
I love the lighting in this photo! The panel and I are in mid-flow at the March Page to Stage London event, on stage at The Water Rats. Left to right: Mogali Masuku, Sioned Jones and Rob Valentine. It was a lovely evening of performance and discussion, with top tips and encouragement from the panel.
APRIL 2025
Attended a Spotlight webinar hosted by popular former Page to Stage panellist and actor/director Adam Bambrough. He founded Wellbeing in the Arts, with whom Spotlight has now partnered for their Member Assistance Programme (for mental health and wellbeing support).
MAY 2025
Very much enjoyed the May edition of Page to Stage London. This shot of our three panellists really captures their engagement with the writers and the audience. Left to right: Nadine Gray, Ami Sayers and David Cottis. Great pieces, strong directing and performances - a fun night.
JUNE 2025
Self-tapes this month included scene of neighbour, back to camera, cutting a hedge and reacting to things she sees as she cuts. I was pleased by my framing - it took lots of adjusting the distance and angle of my tripod and phone to get what I wanted. Looks a bit like a gardening manual!
JULY 2025
Earlier this year we launched a new website for Page to Stage London (designed by yours truly) and this month, as well as co-organising the July event, I found time to improve the design. There's an About page, and pages dedicated to each of the five core elements that make an event flow well: writers, actors, directors, audience and panel:
AUGUST 2025
Couldn't resist posting a pic of the NT - yes I was here, yes it was in an acting capacity, but no I was not performing - it was the in-person monthly meeting with my fellow actor-agents at Arena. The NT has long been the location of choice for this meeting. It was great to see some people for the first time IRL.
SEPTEMBER 2025
A busy month of self-tapes. Perhaps my favourite was the over-excited mother of the bride for a charity commercial - hence the wedding hat in the photo! I also enjoyed filming and providing the voiceover for a film about a recovery centre for those with alchohol or drug issues, shot on a sunny day in Beaconsfield.
OCTOBER 2025
Loved the make-up for my role in A Murder of Crows by Angelika May, part of a double-bill at BOLD Theatre this month. About a Yorkshire family of crows, the play explores how a family unit breaks down when the mother unexpectedly leaves. A brutal fight for survival, it's also about maternal sacrifice versus freedom of the individual. It was really fun to do.
